This is a post about how there’s going to be nothing but short stories from now until August! Get excited, or don’t. I can’t make you or anything.
Voldemort: If you were to create a Horcrux(s), what would it be and why?
Wow I did really not prepare for these questions well at all. I’d probably put it in a book and then give the book to someone I trusted/cared about. Then I would like to make the book like Voldemort’s diary so that when people were reading it I’d change the words. So, like, if I put my soul in one of the Man from UNCLE books and then gave it to you, as you were reading it suddenly as you were reading it, it would become a gay porn. OR, you know, I could be cool and just keep changing the story SO IT’S DIFFERENT every time you read it!
Remus Lupin: If you transform into any one animal or creature, which one would it be?
CAN I PICK A THESTRAL AND BE A MARY SUE PLEASE! If it’s just like a normal creature that I would have access too, I’d probably pick a raccoon. At least I’d get those little fingers and I could go through people’s garbage without anyone getting suspicious which is apparently one of my priorities.
I’M NOT SURE IF I SHOULD TELL YOU TO GO TO BED OR GO BACK TO WORK but either way I have the sneaking suspicion you’re skipping something to be here!
Hermione Granger: What is your favorite book, how many times have you read it, and why do you love it?
Okay it’s either The Chronicles of Chrestomanci (just all of them) or Chuck Palahniuk’s Lullaby.
I used to read the former series every summer throughout elementary school and most of high school, and then I took summer courses throughout University because I couldn’t stop and did not get a chance to reread them all. I’m not sure what I loved about them? I know I enjoyed the way they were written, and I like cats a lot, and all the universes were great. I think I really liked how neatly they were all tied together as well.
For Lullaby, I ended up rereading it a bunch of times (maybe six or seven? Probably not ten) because I kept lending it out to people and then they’d want to talk to me about it, but because I had to read so many books for school, I kept forgetting what happened, so I’d reread it quickly to refresh my memory so we could discuss it. I LOVE LULLABY just because of the whole idea behind it and the way it was written for sure and the characters were fantastic. At the time I think I was drowning in 16c and 17c literature and theory books, so it was a real relief to read it when I did!
Molly Weasley: What is the proudest moment of your life?
I have no idea Snoddis, you always ask me headscratcher questions. HOW ABOUT when one of my professors asked me to coffee that was pretty great. It was like an academic and social achievement all in one and I got a free coffee.
Professor Sprout: What is your favourite class that is offered at Hogwarts?
THIS IS GOING TO SOUND REALLY DUMB but Muggle Studies. I would freaking love to study us from a completely different viewpoint with magic and stuff.
Here’s the sixth act of the fourth episode of Stranger than Slash Fiction! This is the final act for this episode. I’m pretty sure after this we’re going to take a short story break for a few weeks!
This is a reminder that I’m still looking for Guest Writers, and I will be paying all accepted submissions $10 each. This link goes to the guest writers post with all the information available! I need any submissions by June 21st at the latest, but receiving them earlier would be absolutely wonderful!
Here’s a new post about the site bookmarks being online! I know news posts don’t usually go up on Thursday, but there’s another news post on Thursday, so oh well!
Here’s the fifth act of the fourth episode of Stranger than Slash Fiction! There will be one more act after this one!
Also, if you’re wondering about the bookmarking plugin I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, I’m testing it out today and hopefully will have a news post about it on Tuesday. If you want to go ahead and jump the gun and register, I certainly won’t stop you! There might still be a few hiccups though!
This post discusses whether or not I should install a plugin on the site that allows for internal bookmarking, so you can keep track of where you are in a story (by post, not by paragraph) or save things for later or whatever! It means that it will all be done through the site itself, so you don’t need to use bookmarks on your browser or however else you save links for later.
There’s a little bit too it, so the post explains the whole thing - probably not as clearly as it could - so you can decide whether or not you would use this plugin. Your feedback would help me out on this one!
